A Minute With Molly

November 21, 2013

I’m sitting cross legged on the floor into bedroom when Molly runs in and closes the door behind her.

She runs (she never walks) over and sits in my lap, carrying two belts and a book.

She sits for a second then jumps up, runs over to grab another book and comes back and sits back in my lap.

She sits for another second then jumps up, runs over to grab another book and comes back and sits in my lap.

She sits for a few seconds this time before jumping up again, but this time she runs into our closet. I hear her rustling around for a bit when suddenly out she comes, pulling an empty laundry basket along with her.

She comes back to sit in my lap, bringing the laundry basket. She fiddles with it for a bit before jumping up and pushing it back into the closet.

More rummaging, then out she comes with not one but two laundry baskets. She pushes them across the room then brings the second one over to sit on my lap.

She sits for a few seconds when she jumps up and runs over to the door, suddenly desperate for it to be open again.

I swear the whole scene lasted a minute, Maybe two.

I’m constantly baffled by the way a toddler’s mind works!

You really have to wonder what’s going through their little minds! It’s hilarious to watch!
