Weekend Wind-Up

December 10, 2012

This post is brought to you by my daughter, who decided it was time to be up at 5am this morning.

We had a weekend full of all things Christmas: shopping, baking, decorating and a trip on the Christmas train! It’s a heritage train running out of Uxbridge that has a magician, clown and of course Santa to entertain the kids. Fun!

A and I (and Molly too but she’s clueless) went shopping and braved Toys R Us. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. We picked up Molly’s main present, an exersaucer, which has already been put together and is in use. She doesn’t know the difference and there’s no way we’re lugging it to A’s parents for her to open, especially since we wouldn’t put it together there. But have no worries, we have plenty for her to unwrap!

This morning we had Molly’s four month check up and she received her second round of vaccinations. I’m so proud of her, she barely cried! She has been a bit uncomfortable and needy but is otherwise in good spirits (especially once the Tylenol kicked in)! She is in the 90th percentile for weight, at 15 lb 14 oz and off the charts for height at 26.5 inches long! She’s growing out of her 9 month and 6-12 month sleepers! Luckily her 6 month clothes should be good for a bit longer but today I put her in 6-12 pants and they weren’t that loose.

Our baby is growing so fast!

I hope everyone had a groovy weekend!
