You Know…

February 16, 2011

You know you’re in a relationship when:

  • You’ve just spent six consecutive nights together and aren’t tired of one another (well, at least I’m not tired of him!)
  • You’re meeting each others family
  • You make plans for the future (Newfoundland this summer! Yahoo!) and it’s no longer presumptuous
  • You’ve given him a couple of drawers in your dresser
  • You do laundry together
  • It’s assumed you’ll be seeing each other unless you have prior commitments
  • Just thinking about being with him makes you smile
  • You can just sit and eat breakfast together without talking and it’s not awkward
  • You have “you had to be there” moments that only the two of you find hilarious
  • You feel comfortable teasing each other

We’re still in the beginning stages, still building and developing things and getting to know each other (do you ever really stop?), but I think A and I are firmly entrenched in a relationship.

Boo ya! I think a new category is in order!
